What with all the attention the major teams get, I have decided to do a regular feature on Amateur teams. After all, this is where a lot of the pros start life and these guys are very interesting. Sexy F.C have been playing in Beijing for over ten years. Their official website is here. It’s nice to see a thriving amateur club keeping up the tradition of bringing the word of Football to the heathens in far flung corners of the world. Joleon Lescott hopes Everton have learned lessons from their first encounter with Metalist Kharkiv.
The Blues have the vital second leg of the UEFA Cup tie in the Ukraine on Thursday, when a win or scoring draw of two goals or more is required to avoid exiting the competition at the first hurdle. Lescott, Everton’s leading scorer this season, says the Toffees may have underestimated Kharkiv in the opening tie.
