Chelsea or The luxury Yacht? – Roman Abramovich Faces Tough Decision

Rumours are springing up in abundance that the current financial crisis has hit the Russian owner of Chelsea FC severely.

Figures being banded about suggest his fortune has shrunk from an estimated £13.2 billion to a mere £2.25 billion according to the Russian press agency – Prime Tass.

Indeed, such is the reputed severity those very same rumours are also suggesting that Roman Abramovich is looking for a buyer for Chelsea Football Club.

These rumours are perhaps given a degree of substantiation by the Russian Press Agency who have declared that Roman has been searching for a buyer for Chelsea since November and is searching for a go-between to broker a deal.

If true, it is the news that most of us have feared since the Russian took over but also news that the rest of those who belong to the ‘Anyone but Chelsea` brigade will be celebrating at by dancing in the street.

However, all is not lost, if the rumours are true, Roman is also weighing up a choice between selling the football club or his luxury yacht – Pelorus.

Personally, I can`t see there being any problem with making the choice, after all what would you prefer to do? Sail the seven seas in luxury or sample the delights those eleven men in blue provide?

Got to be Stamford Bridge every time hasn`t it (say`s me with the knowledge I succumb to sea-sickness just crossing the River Thames).
